DELETTRE CYRIL

Cyril Delettre is a Hong Kong based French artist specialising in photography and videography. His work is a balance between documentary and art.

Inspired by his conversations with cocoa farmers in Vietnam, Delettre created Hope (2023), a series of portraits that reflects on the dreams and aspirations of these farmers. Suspended from the ceiling, these portraits are displayed in the form of an installation within which viewers are invited to enter.

Besides, in collaboration with Caroline Ha Thuc, Delettre is producing a video documentary on coca production in Vietnam - meeting local farmers and producers, that includes the process of chocolate making. He works in partnership with Conspiracy Chocolate, a bean to bar chocolate handicraft factory based in Hong Kong that sources its beans exclusvely from Vietnam.
